Welcome to the family .

My name is Jayne and my husband is Paul. We have two children, Connor our son and Taylor our daughter, and we all live together nice and cosy with our 3 Bordeaux's, two Cats, an Iguana and a Chameleon.

Below is Iggey our Iguana. She comes out from time to time and runs free around our dogs .

I've always had dogs in my life from the time i was born, whether it be Labradors, Springer Spaniel or Beagles, and as i grew older I couldn't imagine life without a dog and I knew that the day I had my own home and family, it was a dog that would complete the family unit.

My first family dog was a Basset Hound, I had always wanted one of this breed and from a very young age i already new the name i was gonna give him and that was Butler.

When the time was right I set out to find my Basset , And find him I did. Butler was a beautiful example of the breed and everyone that passed him in the street would stop us to admire him and comment on him. Butler was loved very much by us and anyone who knew him .

Although I love all dogs i really thought that the Basset was the only breed for me. That was until i came face to face with the Dogue De Bordeaux, who's whole look and nature melted me and I begged my husband for a Bordeaux and a play mate for Butler .

Just like i had studied the Basset Hound, I began to study the Bordeaux, reading everything i possibly could on the breed and the breeding side of things and the more I learnt the more I was hooked, and very soon I had found my Bordeaux; She was just stunning and had a temperament and nature to die for and she settled in immediately.

As we didn't get her till she was four and a half months old she had already been given a name ..( Sapphire ) so we shortened her name and double-barrelled it and she became Saffy Ann.

Saffy Ann reached the age of about 7 months when sadly my beloved Basset, Butler passed away. We were absolutely devastated and I soon came to realize Saffy was missing her play mate and so we set out to find her a new buddy .

It took what like seemed forever to find the right Bordeaux for us and then about 6 months down the line we found Doofus our new Bordeaux. He was the cutest little boy and we immediately fell for him and from the moment Doofus was introduce to Saffy Ann they hit it off and they are now so close.

Both Saffy Ann and Doofus love their creature comforts, and yes I have given in to their soppy faces, and the sofa is where they chill in the evenings lapping up all the cuddles and kisses they can get.                                                                                                                                  saffy ann had her first planned litter in 2010,she was a great mum and although Doofus wasn't the dad saffy ann and doofus worked together caring and raising the little pups .At this point of our story is where our 3rd bordeaux comes in .Delilah is her name and she is beautiful, she was 2nd born out of saffy ann's litter and i just new she was for us from the moment she came into our world ,she has a nice mix of both sire and Dam's looks and has saffy ann's outstanding nature .Delilah settle straight away and loves play fighting with our other bordeaux's ,she loves the sofa, kisses and cuddles and rides in the car ,just like our other bordeaux's.

We will be planning for our 4th bordeaux in the near future ,it's seems i really can't get enough of this stunning breed .

We live ever so slightly in town from the seaside, surrounded by miles of fields and woodland areas that our home looks onto, where as a family and with our Dogues we all go to enjoy some time together .

Saffy Ann , Doofus and Delilah love to take a ride in the car especially to collect Connor and Taylor from school as they get truly pampered by all of the kids...... Well lets face it how could you resist the beautiful Bordeaux face that seems to say "please stroke me ".

Saffy Ann , Doofus and Delilah are great guard dogs but at the same time gentle, loving, well behaved, calm dogs, who hang on my every word and are truly devoted to us, and we truly are devoted to them.

                                                                                           DID YOU KNOW ?...

Taking your dog from the breeder to your home in a car can be a very uncomfortable experience for you both .The puppy will have been

taken form his warm ,friendly, safe environment and bought into a strange new environment .An environment that moves ! Be prepared for

loose bowels ,urinating, crying, whining etc.....with proper love and encouragement when you arrive home ,the stress of the trip

        should quickly disappear .

It will take at least 2 weeks before your new puppy becomes accustomed to their new surroundings .Give him / her lots of love , attention ,

handling , frequent opportunities to relieve themselves ,a diet he / she likes to eat and a place to call their own .

                                                                              OUR BOY BUTLER!

Our butler was a great boy ,loving his cuddles and chilling on the sofa ,he was very protective of his family and home.

Butler had a great character ,he used have a favorite song and every time we sang it or it was played on the radio ,even if he was asleep he would sit up and start howling and barking to it ,whilst wagging his tail.

He loved taking holidays with us in the caravan and being taking out for his walks and was always tripping over his own ears. Butler was a massive part of our lives .                                                                                                                                                                                                                Butler sadly past away November 2008 of kidney failure ,as u can imagine we were all devastated and his death had a Huge impact on our lives .

Butler touched our hearts in a way i didn't think was possible from an animal ,he taught me so much .

Thank you our beautiful Butler for Being you and all the love we shared and memories .xoxo

A Letter from Rainbow Bridge       our much missed Beagle, Butler

To my beloved owner,

there's some things I'd like to say.

But first of all, to let you know,

that I arrived okay.

I'm writing this from the Bridge.

Here I dwell with God above.

Here there's no more tears of sadness.

Here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy

just because I'm out of sight.

Remember that I am with you

every morning, noon and night.

That day I had to leave you

when my life on earth was through,

God picked me up and hugged me

and He said, "I welcome you.

It's good to have you back again,

you were missed while you were gone.

As for your dearest family,

They'll be here later on."

God gave me a list of things,

that he wished for me to do.

And foremost on the list,

was to watch and care for you.

And when you lie in bed at night

the day's chores put to flight,

God and I are closest to you...

in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth,

and all those loving years,

because you are only human,

they are bound to bring you tears.

But do not be afraid to cry:

it does relieve the pain.

Remember there would be no flowers,

unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you

all that God has planned.

If I were to tell you,

you wouldn't understand.

But one thing is for certain,

though my life on earth is o'er.

I'm closer to you now,

than I ever was before.

There are rocky roads ahead of you

and many hills to climb;

But together we can do it

by taking one day at a time.

It was always my philosophy

and I'd like it for you too;

That as you give unto the world,

the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody

who's in sorrow and pain;

Then you can say to God at night...

"My day was not in vain."

And now I am contented...

that my life was worthwhile.

Knowing as I passed along

I made somebody smile.

God says: "If you meet somebody

who is sad and feeling low;

Just lend a hand to pick him up,

as on your way you go.

When you're walking down the street

with me on your mind;

I'm walking in your footsteps

only half a step behind."

"And when it's time for you to go...

from that body to be free.

Remember you're not going...

you're coming here to me."
